Schools may be closed, but the need doesn’t stop. Our Site Coordinators are continuing to meet students’ urgent needs during this time, knowing that school closures leave our most at-risk students even more vulnerable. Our Site Coordinators have plans in place to mentor and meet with students online, so they stay supported and on track. We will continue working with our partners to provide critical food assistance to 225 food-insecure students. Site Coordinators are checking in with students and families through personal phone calls, engaging with them through videos, and doing whatever it takes so students know a caring adult is by their side. CIS Of Petersburg is prepared to be a lifeline for our students during this critical time. Community extends beyond the walls of a school – we need your help now more than ever, to make sure these urgent needs do not go unmet.

Greetings!

Following the recent updates and developments regarding COVID -19, it is with great regret to announce that CIS of Petersburg will postpone the Breakfast of Champions scheduled for Wednesday, March 18th.

The health and safety of our members, partners, and community is the primary concern of CIS of Petersburg, and we felt that postponing our event was the most responsible decision at this time. We encourage everyone to remain safe and stay abreast of the guidelines and tips from the CDC and our local, state, and national government agencies.

We will give further detail during the month of April as to the new date and time. Until then, we wish you all the best.

Kind regards,
